How can we help?
Everything you need to know about CMI components, fitment, and how we run our shop.
Products & Materials
What materials do you machine your components from?
All CMI components are CNC-turned from titanium or 416 stainless steel. We do not use brass or aluminum in our arrow components — both materials are too soft to hold the tolerances and impact resistance our customers expect.
What's the difference between titanium and stainless inserts?
Titanium and stainless steel inserts are built around the same CMI design and structural integrity. Titanium is the premium material option for shooters who want top-tier components, while stainless steel delivers the same dependable strength at a more accessible price point for working hunters and everyday arrow builders.
How tight are your machining tolerances?
We hold on critical OD and thread features. Every batch is verified for weight, concentricity, and thread fit before it leaves the shop.
Fit & Compatibility
How do I know which insert fits my shaft?
Inserts are sized by the inner diameter (ID) of your arrow shaft, not the nominal name or spine. See our Shaft Compatibility page for a full chart matching common shaft brands and models to the correct CMI insert size.
Do your field points and broadheads share threads?
Yes. All CMI field points and components use the standard 8-32 or 6-40 archery thread, so they'll thread into any matching CMI parts.
Warranty & Support
Are CMI components guaranteed?
Yes. Every component is guaranteed against defects in materials and workmanship. If something fails to spec, we'll replace it.
